Black & Decker is making D.I.Y simple with its new 18 Volt Smart-Select Cordless Hammer Drill/Driver Kit.

Black & Decker’s Smart-Select range aims to give amateur DIYers confidence to complete home projects, as more New Zealanders look to save money through doing it themselves.

The 18V Smart-Select Cordless Drill makes drilling easy, with an application selector that allows the user to choose the desired application. The drill then automatically adjusts its speed and clutch settings for optimum performance.

Other features of the new drill include: a hammer action for drilling into masonry and concrete; two 18V slide battery packs for better battery retention; a state–of-charge indicator that allows the user to easily check the battery levels; improved ergonomics for better comfort and control; and a single sleeve, keyless chuck that allows for quick and easy changing of drill bits and accessories.
