Black & Decker has added two three-speed hammer drills to its Firestorm range of products – a 14.4V (FS146F4-XE) and 18 V (FS188F4-XE) model.

Black & Decker’s Firestorm hammer drill range is designed for experienced DIYers who want the high performance of professional tools without breaking the budget.

The Black & Decker hammer drill models feature a three-speed gearbox for the most efficient torque/speed ratio for all applications, and 24 clutch settings. These functions allow DIYers to efficiently drive and drill a range of sizes into a variety of materials including steel and masonry.

Both models also offer features such as: an electronic brake to ensure safety; a high output fan-cooled motor to increase performance and extend the life of the tool; and an extra-powerful motor and heavy-duty gearbox for durability and high torque delivery to the job.

The Firestorm hammer drills have been designed with customer ease in mind and incorporate anti-slip, soft grips for comfort and a mid-handle design which optimises balance and reduces hand fatigue. Both models also come with a kit box for easy and tidy storage and an Intelligent 30 minute charger.

The 14.4V model retails for $269.95 and the 18V for $289.95. Both Firestorm hammer drills come with a full four year warranty.
