We at The Planning Room, are new to the site and thought we would tell you briefly about who we are, and what we do. About UsThe Planning Room is a town
planning consultancy with specific expertise around resource consent
applications.
The company was founded by
Logan Whitelaw, who left a management position in the Planning Division of the
Auckland City Council to set up his own company. His knowledge along with the other planning
staff within the company use their expertise to help owners, builders and
developers gain the resource consents they need.

Our clients are increasingly faced with the challenge of meeting the
requirements of more stringent legislation and aggressive community
expectations. As a result, we have found it ever more important to undertake
pre-application meetings with Council to resolve any potential issues prior to
lodgement to increase the likelihood of a positive outcome.
