Resource Consents

by paul@theplanningroom - The Planning Room Ltd

We at The Planning Room, are new to the site and thought we would tell you briefly about who we are, and what we do.

About Us

The Planning Room is a town planning consultancy with specific expertise around resource consent applications.

The company was founded by Logan Whitelaw, who left a management position in the Planning Division of the Auckland City Council to set up his own company. His knowledge along with the other planning staff within the company use their expertise to help owners, builders and developers gain the resource consents they need.

Our Location

The Planning Room operates from Auckland and has access to inner city office space and meeting venues if required. Our services are not confined to the Auckland area with all members of staff having been involved in projects / applications further afield.

Our Observation

Our clients are increasingly faced with the challenge of meeting the requirements of more stringent legislation and aggressive community expectations. As a result, we have found it ever more important to undertake pre-application meetings with Council to resolve any potential issues prior to lodgement to increase the likelihood of a positive outcome.

Clients

The Planning Room currently works with a range of clients all of which have varying levels of expertise and knowledge around Resouce Consents, their process, and application. Our current clients include:

§ Developers;

§ Architects;

§ Project Managers

§ Draftsmen;

§ Home Owners;

§ Business Owners;

§ Builders; and

§ Investors

Our Key Services

From experience we have found that being involved at the front end of any project saves both time and money as well as increasing the likelihood of success.

The Planning Room has six key service areas in which we deliver a client focused result. The six key service areas are: Residential; Commercial; Pre-Purchase / Due Diligence; Subdivision / Multi Unit Development; Heritage; and Childcare.

Within these key service areas the following expertise can be applied:
