Arhaus is a design + build company established in February 2004. Arhaus designs and builds homes that are amongst the best examples of housing in New Zealand. To do this we use architects, engineers, project managers, builders and suppliers who are passionate about high quality sustainable designs and materials, combining proven techniques with modern materials, technologies and passive solar design principles. Our commitment to you goes beyond the purchase of the house. Each home has an on-line resource website and we take care to measure moisture in critical areas of the house on a regular basis. Quite simply, Arhaus homes are houses of the future: good looking, quality construction, energy efficient and exceptional value.

Energy Efficiency + Water efficiency

We incorporate rainwater collection into all of our designs. Homes are designed to use as much of the sun’s energy as possible for heating, with extra insulation and double glazing and energy efficient lighting as standard.

Good Design

The house is designed by architects and offers a variety of different spaces. Spaces are light and airy due to full length joinery in some rooms and void areas. The house is designed to capture warmth in winter and keep heat out in summer.

Health + Comfort

The design of the house and materials used help to keep humidity low and temperatures up. Solid floors on the ground floor trap warmth while open voids and large windows let in light.
