Heirloom Joinery manufacture high quality, European style, IV 68, exterior joinery from timber. Our joinery system combines high tech, multifunctional German hardware with hand crafted timber and quality glazing to create windows and doors that have unrivaled energy efficiency and robust integrated security as standard. This system was created specifically to cater for double glazed units.

Central to this system is the use of Turn & Tilt technology which allows the same window or door to have two functions. By turning the handle to an upward position the window or door tilts inward at the top, allowing for ventilation whilst still remaining locked. With the handle in the horizontal position the window will turn like a normal side hung window. With the handle in the downward position, the window or door is closed firmly onto a rubber seal and locked in at least three places.

Timber is a natural insulator and our joinery profile is 68mm thick. Aside from the thermal benefits of this when compared to standard NZ joinery, this large profile also allows for unlimited options with regard to the thickness of double glazed units, giving you the best possible thermal protection and energy efficiency.

We believe timber joinery is the right choice for the environment. It requires far less energy to produce than either aluminum or P.V.C. It is likely to last longer than both these alternatives with minimal maintenance.
